Beautiful Red Spinel and Ornate Diamond Halo ring.

This Spinel has history and was previously set in a vintage piece of jewellery, it is a true antique stone. The colour is a deep raspberry red. 

Spinel is known as The Black Prince’s Ruby, The Timur Ruby. For centuries, Spinel, the great imposter, masqueraded as ruby in Europe’s crown jewels. Red Spinels are most sought after with a deep saturated red colour.

Spinel is the birthstone for August. Red spinel, was thought to be a remedy for all types of inflammatory diseases and is believed to ease anger and promote harmony. This August birthstone is traditionally given as a 22nd wedding anniversary gift.
